An API to add players, create tournaments, update results without using the website.
I'd be a great if I could interface with Challonge from something other than the site. In particular, I want to make a bot for an IRC channel that handles tournaments that just uses an API to send Challonge info (and then I'd link the generated bracket).

Round Relabeling - Custom Control
Allow users to either rename the rounds "Preliminary - Round 1" or add custom fields to that. With this, tournament coordinators could add tournament specific information to the round, such as Map/Maps for the round, Best of 3/Best of 5, etc. etc.
42 votesThis feature will be available tomorrow morning (USA EST). Organizers will be able to provide up to 3 lines of text in each round label. Also, the default “Preliminary Round” will be replaced with “Round 1”
Once available, just click a round label to edit it.

Allow players to re-enter their match scores
Sometimes players make errors when entering their match scores, and thus need to edit the results. Currently, they must contact an administrator to edit the scores. This can be slightly inconvenient for both parties, and it would be nice if players could make these edits on their own.
For security purposes, perhaps a player can make any edits to the match results initially, but once future matches are played, they can't make edits that affect which matches would have been played (e.g. they can't change the winner, just the scores). A notification could also be sent to both players and…

Allow for an ad-free version of brackets on the Challonge site
While the ads aren't particularly intrusive on Challonge, I'd like an option to remove them from the Challonge website for an extra fee. If nothing else, it would be a nice way for users to support Challonge that don't need a module for their own site.
31 votesThis is finally available as Challonge Premier for $3/month or $25/year. You have to be logged in to subscribe. Thanks!

Display the number of games currently played in the Round Robin sumamry grid
The summary info of matches/games/points/etc is really helpful at the bottom of the Round Robin results screen. However, it's much less meaningful when you can't see a quick how many games have been played or are left for a particular player/team.
30 votesdone! definitely useful info for RRs. thanks for the input.

Display the full list of results instead of just top 3
In our tournaments, we award a certain number of points to each player based on their final standings. So having that full list would be very helpful for me when awarding points. Additionally, players often ask what place they ended up in; this would alleviate some confusion.
I'm fine with the top 3 being displayed by default, but perhaps making that div expandable? 'click to see the full results' or something.

Allow voting for each match in a challonge
Allow Challonge users to vote once per match in tournaments and display the current vote counts. The organizer would then be able to advance players based on # of votes.
This would be useful for tournaments that don't involve actual physical competition (best beer tournament, celebrity tournaments, etc.)
7 votesMore voting stats to be added soon, but this has been available for a few weeks. Might add voting by text message as well (paid feature)

Guest book
A way for users in a tournament to chat with each other.
Just a simple message board/guest book in public for tracking each other for losses or even planning of meetings.Personally we use facebook for this, but it would be great with a function like that on the site as well!
15 votes“Host a basic forum for this tournament” was added to the general tournament options. Enjoy!

The first round of changes for this were just rolled out. You can now attach a location and scheduled time to matches; however, there are limitations we’re working to remove:
(1) Matches can’t be scheduled until a tournament is started. This is due to us not persisting the match records until everything is situated. The main downside is that first round matches will start (and trigger notifications) before they can be scheduled.
(2) Location and scheduled time are only visible from ‘Match Details’ modal windows. We’re still working to notate the presence of this info in the bracket without creating too much clutter.
There are several other improvements we plan to make, but I wanted to make what we have available without further delay.
Thanks everyone for your patience!
