Soccer/Football Points system
Dear Challonge
It is a pleasure to contact you as a very happy recent starter of your Challonge system. I just wanted to pass on my thanks as I have used it to Admin 2 very large recent LANs in the UK (ECL and i40) for FIFA 10 tournaments.
You can see an example of how I have integrated the system in with our site @ http://www.sweetpatch.tv/index.cfm?articleid=6327 and http://www.sweetpatch.tv/index.cfm?articleid=6422
The success of these events resulted in a number of colleagues contacting me about the system we used as they wanted to start using it.
One question/request is that as we use the system for soccer/football events, is there anyway a points system could be used as an option, i.e. 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss? The table would then be built based on the points tally.
Your feedback on how this could be achieved would be very much appreciated.
Keep up your great work and many thanks

Added “Custom (Swiss points system)” option to Round Robins.

Soccer is indeed one of the most popular sports in the world, including Kenya. If you want to start betting on sports, it is important to know that it is not only exciting but also risky. To successfully bet on sports, you need to study sporting events, follow the fortunes of teams and players, and consider the various factors that can affect the outcome of a match. It is also important to be able to control your bets and not overdo it. It is best to start with small amounts and gradually increase them if you have success. Don't forget that betting on sports is a game and it is important to enjoy it, regardless of the results

Football is probably the most popular sport in the world and especially in Kenya. I like to follow football events in Kenya. And now I have a thought, why don't I start betting on sports? Some of their friends do it and they win great. Tell us who knows how to bet on sports correctly?

Dave,
Thanks for sharing the links. I'm always interested in seeing how people have integrated Challonge into their sites.
I'm planning on supporting the points system you mentioned in the near future. I'll be extending the Swiss points system to work with Round Robins (define points for a win, tie, set/game win, set/game tie, and bye). My schedule's a little crazy this month, but hopefully I'll get this feature out within a couple weeks.
I'm also developing 2-stage tournaments (pools populating an elimination bracket), so that will further simplify tournaments with Word Cup-like structures. I'm hoping to make these available in a single module as well (with tabs for switching between pools and the bracket).
Thanks again for the feedback and encouragement!
