enable custom bye brackets
Automatic bye generation doesn't let me chose where my byes enter the bracket on a single elimination contest. I am unable to move the structure of the bracket to reflect the byes and there is no consistency.
For example I may have a preliminary round that has 2 players and the other 7 players are already in the 1st round. So the 7 players get preliminary round byes.
However if I want the winner of the preliminary round match to play a specific player in the next round I am unable to as Challonge decides where that goes
A workaround is I have to add bye1, bye2, bye3 etc as players which doesn't look very good

Allowing users to customize bye brackets would provide greater flexibility and control over the structure of single-elimination contests. This feature would eliminate the need for workarounds and improve the overall user experience. https://pokerogue.io

One workaround you mentioned is https://infinitecraftonline.io adding placeholder players (e.g., bye1, bye2) to represent the byes, but this solution may not be ideal from an aesthetic standpoint.

I see this has already been asked for and declined. I just wanted to second the motion. It doesn't even have to be as grand as the software assigning boards, if given a free form field within a bracket where two teams face each other to manually assign a board number that would be great! So teams monitoring the bracket can see what board they're on...
