Allow team tournaments
We use Challonge several times a year for several tournaments during our regional LAN parties. Not having a way for us to add teams (rather than individuals) to a tournament can be troublesome for us.
Current Process:
-- Post sign up link
-- Ask everyone to form their teams, and sign up with a single team name, and a single email notification
Better Process:
-- Post sign up link
-- Allow people to sign up and either (a) create a new team, or (b) join an existing team
-- If joining an existing team, the team captain will receive an email for confirmation
Other thoughts:
-- Allow captains to add team members (and email addresses)
-- Allow captains other general management options (e.g., change team name, add co-captains, etc.)

Marking this completed, but we’ll continue to make improvements to this feature. In particular, inviting a team member without a Challonge account by email and viewing team members on hover in the bracket.

I would like to put random people together for darts which we call a blind draw which consists of putting everyone on a list and then drawing everyone to be put on random teams

This is a great inclusion, however as tournament organiser how do I view who is in the team ? and how many members they have ?

I'll try to get a public staging site set up soon. Even if not in time for this feature, it'll be helpful to get feedback on participant check-in and group stages.

I also run a LAN party and face the very same problem - we also solve it with the same method as above, but it certainly does make things more difficult!
If you have any dev time coming up in 2014 we would love to see this feature, even if it was just a simple as allowing the signed up member to list the names of the people in their team it would be a great help.
Also looking forward to integrating with your API this year.
