Ladder Tournament Type
Add another tournament type. Ladder Tournaments are a seeded bracket in which seed 1 plays 2, 3 plays 4, and so on. The winner moves up a position and the loser moves down. It is run for X amount of rounds and places are determined by which position each player finishes after all round have been completed.

I'd like a variant in which players choose their own opponents and games inside a larger ladder-style rating system via https://tunnelrush.net

A ladder format for high score and speed run tournaments would be great too.

This is exactly what I am looking for, but I want an open ended version with no end date. It is for an office environment where people challenge the person above and compete to move up.
The "end date / number of rounds" can be optional

We've been looking for a persistent ladder here at www.goclio.com for our SF2 matches for ages. May look at your API.

Real keen for this, as we run tournaments that we run from LAN to LANs would be great to have ladder, so we new comers have to start at the bottom and work there way to the top. We just use excel at the moment, would be good to have all our tournaments on challonge :)
Is this something Challonge would be interested in doing ?
