Pickleball kitchen rules
Pickleball kitchen rules(https://pickleballcard.com/pickleball-kitchen-rules/), also known as the non-volley zone rules, are designed to maintain fair play and prevent players from executing smashes or volleys from within a specific area on the court. According to these rules, players are not allowed to volley the ball (hit it in the air without a bounce) while standing inside the kitchen, which is the 7-foot area on both sides of the net. The kitchen rule ensures that players stay away from the net during certain shots, promoting strategic and balanced gameplay. However, players can enter the kitchen after a volley or smash from outside the non-volley zone. Adhering to the kitchen rules helps maintain a level playing field and encourages skillful shot placement and control in pickleball.
