Manually assign players to groups.
If you have a groupsize of 4 and 17 participants, one of the player will be in a group on his/her own.
If you could manually assign groups you could make, say 5 in one of the groups, or 3 groups with 3 in every group, rather than to get on person getting a bye all the way to braket-stage.
Other than that, i think Challonge is the by far best tournament organizing tool, simple and effective.

Absolutely! This should be the default way to do groups; what is in there now is not good at all by comparison. Being able to say there are eight groups and thus allowing for expansion of the eight groups rather than saying have a set number of people per group is much more preferable.

Yes this would be awesome. It's the one thing that stopped me using Challonge for our in-house foosball tournament.

Agree with OP. It makes way more sense to have one group with one more player, than having one player alone in his group.
And with that being able to directly choose the total number of groups would be great.

I agree, this needs to be implemented! Right now the round robin tournament is slightly flawed because it doesn't allow you to set the number the number of groups, thus you end up with really lopsided group sizes if you don't have an even number of participants.
If there is any change of allowing to customize groups, or at least limit the number of groups (rather than just number or participants per group), it would greatly improve things.
Thanks!

Should probably add that this is when you use groups to bracket, but i guess that you could probably figure that out based on the post :P
