support compressed-finals double elimination
Another feature of my double-elimination playoffs (besides this: http://feedback.challonge.com/forums/44455-feature-requests/suggestions/7186280-support-teams-starting-in-the-losers-bracket-in-d ) is that when there are four teams left (one undefeated, three with one losses), we "compress" the finals thus: the undefeated team plays the lowest-seeded team with one loss, while the two other one-loss teams play each other. The bracket then forks:
If the undefeated team wins its semifinal game, then it has a one-game advantage in a finals series against the winner of the other game. That is, the undefeated team needs to win only one match to win the tournament, while the winner of the other semifinals game needs to win two.
Otherwise, we are left with three teams with one loss each, setting up a two-stage final: the two semifinal winners play each other, and the winner plays the remaining team (which had been undefeated until the semifinals).
It would be great to have a variant on the Challonge double-elimination to support this.
