2. Randomize players for two man teams

   A tournament, such as a blind draw, requires individual players to be randomly placed into teams. A player list randomizer would be a very helpful feature. I currently use another online software to randomize players to teams and sometimes have issues doing a copy and paste of teams to the bulk add. It would be way easier to have this feature built into this software.

4. Implement Strength of Schedule and Extended Strength of Schedule as Tiebreakers for Swiss

   A player’s strength of schedule is calculated by dividing each opponent’s total tournament points by the number of rounds that opponent has played, adding the results of each opponent played, and then dividing that total by the number of opponents the player has played. The player with the highest strength of schedule is ranked above all other players in the group not yet ranked. The player with the second-highest strength of schedule is ranked second among all players in the group not yet ranked, and so on.

   A player’s extended strength of schedule is calculated by adding each opponent’s strength of schedule and then dividing by the number of opponents that player has played. The player with the highest extended strength of schedule is ranked above all other players in the group not yet ranked. The player with the second-highest extended strength of schedule is ranked second among all players in the group not yet ranked, and so on.

   This would make a great strides in improving the tiebreakers used in Swiss format tournaments.

6. Teams play each other 4 times.

   I was wondering why the max amount of times teams can play each other was only 3 since most of the leagues my community plays have people play each other four times.

   I really love Challonge because it's so simple and flexible that you can do things on it that you can't do anywhere else, but the people in the community all say that leagues, where people face each other more than 3 times, are better than less.

   Hopefully, this will be added, but if it isn't, thanks for the great help Challonge has given me and my friends! :)

8. Allow Manual Input Of Round Robin Matches Ordering

   Have an option to manually input the order of matches in a round robin. Right now, when I drag the participants to a different spot to re-order the matches, Challonge automatically changes other matches around, even the ones I had previously manually edited. And I'm not even allowed to drag an entire match to a different spot in the same round (which theoretically shouldn't affect any other round), I'm only allowed to drag a single participant at a time, which affects all other rounds. I just want an option to manually input the order of the matches and then click save; nothing should be automatically moved for me while I'm in editing mode still. There can be a verification after I'm done editing to ensure it's a valid round robing schedule, but please don't automatically change things around while I'm still editing. This editing mode doesn't even need to be a drag-and-drop interface; I would be perfectly happy with a text box or a file upload to manually input the ordering.

   My use case is that Challonge doesn't optimally distribute when participants play. For example, with a round robin of 7 participants, often a participant has to play twice in a row, and sometimes they have to wait 7 matches before they play again after their last match. This is bad because sometimes participants don't get a break, and other times, they complain that they're playing cold and need a warm-up again before their match because it was so long since their last match. A participant playing twice in a row also causes conflicts when we're running multiple matches in parallel. Challonge has not found a way to fix this scheduling issue, but I have. I've written a script that given n participants, finds an optimally distributed round robin schedule. For example, with 7 participants, my script will output a round robin schedule where every participant gets a minimum break of 2 matches in between their own matches, and a maximum break of 3 matches. But Challonge won't let me input this schedule, so I'm still stuck with using Challonge's inoptimal scheduling if I want to use Challonge at all.

9. Add a new type of double-elimination (poolkets)

   I saw very often people using this type of double-elimination: it's quite similar to the standard but, excluding the first round in loser bracket (in which the loser goes home), from the second round to the loser bracket final, are automatically generated 4-players round robins; the winner of the round robin is the only one who passes.

   We name it "Double Elimination with poolkets"

   In this way (http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/9382/poolket.jpg), loser bracket is composed of the same number of rounds of the winner bracket, i.e. there are no "pauses" during the tournament, in order to let people in losers arrive to the final.

   In the standard double-elimination bracket, in losers bracket let's say A has to beat B, and C has to defeat D. Then, the winners of the matches are facing each other.
   With the poolkets, A is facing B, and either C is facing D; either the winners are facing anyway (let's say that winners are A and C), but are added A vs D and B vs D. In this way, all players are facing the most quantity of players, in order to have a more fair/equilibrated tournament.

   Reassuming the purpose:
   -Name: Double Elimination with Poolkets
   -What is it: direct elimination round in lower bracket (excluding the first) are substituted by round robin of 4; this allow to play more games and, last but not least, the lower bracket is composed of the same number of rounds of the winner bracket (no pauses for everyone).

10. Have an option for how to handle tie breakers or to add additional matches (same form or different) for tie breakers

    Tonight I had a round robin tournament for five people. At the end of all five rounds two people were tied for first with three wins each. The website gave the win to the person who had the most points. However, in reality, I had a tie breaking match between the two... because the winner was to be decided on number of wins and nod points. (It'd also be useful in such a case to just turn off the points, as they are not relevant.) I had to delete the tournament because it did not correctly display the final results.

11. Embed option with multiple brackets

    Create multiple brackets (for example one for each division)
    Within the Bracket View on the site that the embed code is on you could have an option to view different divisions. (Initial bracket view may be for Open Div, but then you could select to view Div A,B,C, etc..and then the bracket would change to the one selected

12. Start and End dates/times of tournaments on profile pages

    We started using Challonge as a bracket archive for our past tournaments.
    In our organization profile page, the brackets are sorted by the date that they were created on Challonge rather than their effective start dates.

    I believe that including this data and sorting the brackets to display in chronological order (newest first) will further improve the user/organization pages.

17. Gamer Handle Support !

    An option to add your PSN Name, Gamertag and etc.. so when users click on others profiles, you can see their gamertags/psn names
    This can help with tournaments so that there aren't any unexpected player appearances that weren't there and no broken rules for player subs.

18. Notes or Match Details per Participant

    Per clicking participant, match details are shown as bracket organizer updates, if organizer chooses to add details.
    Notes could include...
    Fighting games: Character, Assists, Gems...
    FPS: Weapon of Choice, Team Color, Individual Score.
    RTS/MoBA: Character, Side on Map...

    Just a field (or fields) an organizer can add specific details per participant if they wish to add on.

    It would be awesome if you could make a small button that tournament hosts could push to removed the whole accordion thing of the description and instead shows the full description at all times.

20. Teams and Player Statistics

    Registered teams are a very nice feature. I haven't been able to use it as of yet. but in most pool leagues it is a requirement to keep statistics on both the TEAMS and the players.

    A great feature would be to be able to have the teams feature also allow for a drop down list of each player who plays the match.

    Example

    Team 1 vs. Team 2

    They play in a match format. Where its basically a roster that repeats until everyone has played or met the race requirements.

    A typical first set might look like this.

    T1 - Player 1 vs. T2 Player 1
    T1 - Player 2 vs. T2 Player 2
    T1 - Player 3 vs. T2 Player 3
    T1 - Player 4 vs. T2 Player 4

    What I am looking for is a Roster for each team. So when we get to the match area. Instead of it being the simple sets and boxes for the Team if there would be a way to create a linked tournament

    Where we instead set up the matches individually of each of the players (like a singles tournament)

    But we can click have each player coded to his/her team so when the you click on standings there is an additional tab that shows the TEAM statistics...(duplicate of the standard statistics we uses) AND the standings of the individual players. So when a team match is scheduled. what happens is the matches are entered in the single T1P1 (Team One Player One) vs. T2P1 (Team Two Player One) match. just like we do singles leagues now.

    But because in set-up we clicked the feature of "USE REGISTERED TEAMS) it will automatically take the data from each player and tally it in each round for the respective team. (numerical data only)

    So when we click the teams feature. We could also have an options as follows:

    1. Use Registered Teams (YES/NO)
    2. Require Team Members to be Registered Challonge Users (YES/NO)
    3. Record Individual Player Scores (YES/NO)
    4. Link Individual Player Scores to Team Statistics (YES/NO)
    5. Enter Team Roster by Match or by Season (PICK ONE)
    6. Allow Substitute Players (YES/NO)
    7. Require Substitute Players to be Registered to team (YES/NO)
    8. Provide Team Standings Tab (YES/NO)
    9. Provide Player Standings Tab (YES/NO)
    10. Total Number or Players Allowed on Roster (Enter a Number)
    11. Substitutes allowed to play for other teams (YES/NO)
    12. Create a registered Substitute List (YES/NO)

    I believe this feature would increase the ability to dominate in the field of league pool. These could be advanced features only available in the PREMIERE Portion of the app. Which is very reasonable.

    I think you could get more premier subscribers if you simply added these features for premiere users since it is a one time fee.
