  1. Accelerated Swiss

    The swiss format needs an option for Accelerated Swiss pairings. This gives a virtual point to the upper half of the bracket for seeding the first few rounds. They don't keep that point, but it is used to ensure that lower rated players can't win with an easier bracket. The other advantage of the accelerated swiss pairing is that it reduces the number of perfect scores in half the games that it would normally take with a standard Swiss pairing system.

  2. Matches API "suggested_play_order" returns null

    A few years ago this feature was added see (https://feedback.challonge.com/forums/44455-feature-requests/suggestions/11659590-front-end-ui-match-identifier-does-not-match-api-m)

    However since the pandemic the value "suggested-play-order" on matches has been returning null making it very difficult to coordinate matches with the front end UI.

  5. Have a way to duplicate events.

    Hey, we have been organizing several tournaments from the Inazuma Eleven series for years!
    Inazuma Eleven is a football/soccer RPG that has a large fan base and community and has a competitive community that hosts new tournaments weekly over Challonge.

  11. Faster (Esports Accurate) Swiss Stage

    Much like most esports (for example CSGO Majors) swiss stages don't have all the teams play all 5 matches, but rather they advance to the next stage after having won 3 or be eliminated if they lose 3.

  13. 4 man group play

    4 Man group play is generally used before a single elimination tournament. After completing the group play, all players have exact placements (1st-4th).

    How it works:
    Match 1: Player A vs Player B
    Match 2: Player B vs Player D
    Match 3: Winner Match 1 vs Loser Match 2
    Match 4: Loser Match 1 vs Winner Match 2
    Match 5: 1st/2nd placement match
    Match 6: 3rd/4th placement match

    Match 5 and 6 need some clarification. There are 3 results that can occur after the first 4 matches:
    1) two 2-0, two 0-2
    2) one 2-0, two 1-1, one 0-2
    3)…

  15. New bracket request, AFL top 8

    We run seasonal leagues which begin with a tournament (round-robin), then a ladder season is played out (seeded with the results of the round-robin) & then the overall season winners are determined by the top 8 of the ladder moving to AFL (Australian Football League) top 8 brackets.

  16. Add some color...

    I'm just going to suggest that you guys incorporate a changeable theme setting.

    The grey is very bland, and is actually making me second guess using the website since I cant change it, and its pretty depressing to look at the brackets. The ones I made in paint for my last tourney werent particularly colorful, but still far nicer on the eyes than the grey on grey with yellow once in a while.

    Maybe have losers turn red, instead of staying the same color? It is not intuitively obvious where a player started the tourney, since everyone and their progress…

  17. Pools Into Bracket

    Any plans to do pools into bracket. Say a have 128 players, choose a top 8 and number of feeder pools (with a minimum number to ensure you have at least 4 people per pool or whatever). Divide seeds across the pools. Insert byes into pools that need them. etc.

    Any plans to do something like this?

  18. Enable bulk addition of participants via API

    I'd like to be able to add participants in bulk via the API - currently you can only add them one at a time, which makes it really inconvenient if you already have a list of players and you want to make sure they all get added correctly.

  19. Check box to delete old tornaments

    We need to be able to delete old tournaments you participated in, not the admin or organizer, or include settings that delete them after 90 days or so.

  20. Allow organizations as secondary tourney admins

    Instead of only allowing Organizations to be hosts of tourneys, let them be added under the Permissions tab in the Advanced Options.
    This would allow hosts to grant an Organization admin privileges without actually being part of said Organization (which at least in our specific case would be very useful).
