JetBlue Pet Policy
Only small dogs and cats are allowed to travel in the cabin in an FAA-approved pet carrier that fits comfortably in the seat in front of you. Only one pet is allowed per client.
Jet Blue does not accept pet remains, cremated or otherwise, in cabin or as cargo.
Service animals
Different policies and travel requirements apply to service animals. More information about traveling with a service animal can be found on their accessibility assistance page.
Reserve your pet
You can reserve your pet online, on the JetBlue mobile app, or by calling JetBlue. Pets can be added in the extras section during booking.
The pet fee is US$125 (one hundred and twenty-five US dollars) each way.
The number of pets is limited to six pets per flight.
Your pet and the approved pet carrier are considered one personal item and must be placed under the seat in front of you. Your pet carrier cannot exceed 17"L x 12.5"W x 8.5"H (43.18cm L x 31.75cm W x 21.59cm H) and the total weight of your pet and the carrier must not exceed 20 lbs.
Are you traveling on a Blue Basic ticket? Luggage is not permitted, but you may bring personal items as well as a pet carrier.
Pets are not allowed at the Mint.
Pets are not accepted for online or codeshare reservations (regardless of where or how the reservation is made), except on select nonstop flights operated by American Airlines within the United States. Please contact American Airlines directly to verify the pet fee and add it to your reservation.
TrueBlue members can earn 300 bonus points for each leg of the trip for adding a pet to their reservation.
Pets are not allowed on flights to Trinidad and Tobago or to/from the UK/Europe.
