Mad Hatter style tournaments
Mad hatter tournaments are usually used for volleyball tournaments. Names of players are drawn randomly out of a hat to build teams. These teams compete once and then the names are placed back into the hat and drawn randomly again. Each time a game gets played the teams are different. Your win/loss record follows you. It is similar to your round robin but instead of individuals competing, it would be teams. Teams could be as small as 2 people on up. This is a great social mixer.

Create Sort options for the main tournaments table
Add sort options to the main tournaments table when just browsing the tournaments. Using something like https://datatables.net/ may benefit you as well. Easy to use for mass amounts of data.
just a thought!

Error in Swiss input.
Question: I've run into an enigma of sorts. I had a two stage tournament set up, Groups into a top 8 Swiss. Everything was fine until I tried to enter the results of the last match of the first round of Swiss. It has the results on the standings, but it won't generate the next round's matches. Anyone ever have this issues?

Partial win
In several games you can get a partial win and you will need to add this score like Full win 5 pts and partial win 3pts.

Individual-pairs tournament
Hello,
First of all congratulations for your fantastic site. You have done amazing job. I am really excited that I found out about your website.
I would kindly like to request the following feature.
We are willing to organize an individual-pair Padel tennis tournament for 12 people. This requires individual pairs for 12 players. Each player partners each of the others exactly once. Each player opposes each of the others exactly twice. The format is as follows:i ii iii
1 E+G: I + J L+A:B+H C+F:D+K
2 L+D:E+K F+ I :G+C H+ J :A+B
3 I +A: J +F…4 votes -
API: Bulk Update Participant Seeds...
Lets say I am using the API to run tournaments off my website. A tournament has 16 people signed up. Then I am using jQuery Portlets to allow the organizer to re-arrange the seeds. When he clicks "submit", the system must now do 16 queries to the API to update the seed for each and every participant (technically it only has to do 15, but whatever).
It would be nice to have this done in a single query... maybe something along the lines with:
PUT https://api.challonge.com/v1/tournaments/{tournament}/participants/seeds.{json|xml}
Parameters:
apikey
{tournament} (in URL string)
seeds array( [1] => participantid, [2]…4 votes -
Show Average points Scored per Match
rather a very easy thing to implement:
a Collum in the Summary-table for Round Robin Tournaments which shows the average points scored per Match made.
so basicly: Avg pts = total points / played matches1 vote -
Possiblity to set a Players Duels/Matches to a 0-0 Tie if you remove him.
If you remove a Player from the Bracket, you should be able to set the Outcome of all his Matches at once, e.g to a 0-0 tie.

Add individual game username
My challonge username is a different name for different games. Rather than having me enter my name for each tournament I participate in, have it where in the Settings page, there's a section called Games. There I can select a challonge supported game and add my gamertag or in-game name. When I join a challonge tournament in said game, it would recognize me as my gamer name automatically and not my challonge name to which I then have to change to my gamer name.

API - Manage Teams
I will use your API to manage our tournament, but i saw that's we can't be able to create, edit, or remove teams using your API. I think it will be a good idea to add this API.

Customize amount of rounds in round-robin tournament
There are some tournaments that have a round-robin format but not every team plays each other. For instance, there is a four-team round-robin tournament in a month that I'd like to make a bracket for. However, each team only plays two games so they will not play everyone in the tournament. Unfortunately, I can't create an accurate bracket for this tournament in because under the current round-robin functions in Challonge it automatically has every team playing each other. Thus, there is an additional round of games that won't take place.
If you can help me with this it would be…

Wall of Fame
Hi -
I was wondering if your team could look into adding a "Wall of Fame", considering so many people are using Challonge to create/manage tournaments.
I believe it's a really simple idea to implement. Just create a simple table with player names and allow the admin the add how many times the player has won the "Final" of a tournament, how many time has he been a runner-up. Then simply display a page with the user's photo that is framed nicely.
Hope this helps you understand the idea. I think this will add some appeal to this already great…

Move tournaments to an Organization en masse
I know tournaments can be added individually to an organization on its settings page, but since I've got some 270 odd tournaments already existing I don't particularly want to do it one by one. As far as I'm aware there's currently no feature for moving them in bulk, it'd be nice to have this.

Double elimination to Single elimination bracket..
Hi Guy's,
Is it possible for you guys to make a double elimination bracket of 16 or 32 players and the last 8 or 16 will be single elimination ?
Right now i'm using 2 different bracket but if it can be done in one would be awesome. Right now i'm using 32 palyers double elimination bracket and at round 3 you get 16 players and from that part the winner above has to meet a player in the loser bracket but the bracket will resume as a single elimination bracket.
If you need any comment of e bracket preview…
