  2. Billiard Tournament

The North American Poolshooters Association, now the 3rd largest billiard league in the United States, just ran Billiard Battle 1 in Indianapolis using your system. It was awesome. The players loved it.

My only suggestions is to allow the admin of the tournament to assign tables numbers to the brackets. It would make your system absolutely perfect. Thank you!

  4. Double Elimination - All teams playing at the first round?

    Follow the example http://challonge.com/tournaments/bracket_generator?ref=AP6SlEn5iD

There's a way to put 12 teams playing at the first round, and not 4 teams advancing in the start of the bracket?

  5. Multi-level sorting for Round Robin results.

This is more of a question, and if the answer is no, then a feature request:

Do you do multi-level sorting for Round Robin results? Say if 'Match W-L-T' is identical for a few players, how to rank them? Do you then sort by 'Game/Set Wins' and/or 'Total Points'?

If not, may be good to allow choices for different multi-level sorting, like 'M-L-T first, then Game/Set Wins', 'Total Points first, then Game/Set Wins' etc. Or just make some default that you think making sense for the majority of people.

Actually since M-L-T and Game/Set Wins should be equivalent in multi-level…

  6. Add 'Winners determined by' information near the final Round Robin results table.

This way, people will know how the ranking is computed.

  7. We need a system which has a round timer in single elimination and in swiss. This is for a TCG and we don't want matches going too long.

Honestly, even for single elimination, I would prefer people not play ahead and wait for the matches to finish. It's necessary because there are stall decks and konami's tournament policy has measures to deal with end of time procedures. But if there is no time, and everyone plays ahead whenever they want, then it's a problem.

I propose the addition of an optional round timer, which would allow participants to play each other, then after the time ends or all games are over, move on to the next round.

  8. Make it less error prone to input results for Swiss tournaments.

For Swiss tournaments, you have to both enter scores and choose winners/losers/ties, and the winner/losers/ties are used in subsequent ranking instead of scores. This makes it rather easy to make mistakes during the input for the many sports where scores alone decide winners/losers/ties with higher scores as the winner. For example, you may enter a score of 3:0 of 'a' vs 'b' while accidentally choosing 'b' as the winner.

It will be great if there is an option in the settings so that you only need to enter scores and winners/losers/ties are guessed automatically instead of asking for an extra…

  9. Maintain a ladder indefinitely

its not a tournament with a fixed final. Instead players "challenge" other players and post scores. See freeonlineleague.com for their implementation of ladders. You have a more awesome site.

Allow players (especially ones assigned in match or same tournament) to message each other and even suggest times to coordinate games.

  11. if email is already in system, ask them if they'd like to join using existing account. How am I supposed to know their user names?

If email is already in system when importing someone, have Challonge email them and ask them if they'd like to join using existing account.

How is the tournament organizer supposed to know the users Challonge username...

  13. Add Page-McIntyre and AFL finals-type brackets

Would the ability to make a Page-McIntyre or AFL finals-style bracket for smaller tournaments be a good idea?

  15. Implement a feature that allows a user to enter a timeperiod(guesstimate) per duel , so that Challonge can calculate total time needed

Implement a feature that allows a user to enter a timeperiod(guesstimate) per "duel", so that Challonge can calculate total time needed to get the entire tournament done.
It's a "simple" calculation if you know how long it takes to do one duel, and maybe also provide another input field to enter the downtime-period in between "duels".

  16. Larger scale tournament structure

Hello, first thanks for the work done, very nice! I would like to organize some tournament with a slightly more complicated structure.

I give an example from the WCS league od Starcraft 2:
    https://bnetcmsus-a.akamaihd.net/cms/content_folder_media/EFSYNHNIOR011365811085164.jpg

Each groupe stage could be tournament (single/double elimination, round-robin, etc.).

My idea is to be able to build small tournaments but to rely them to build larger structure where winner of one tournament are directly qualified for the next "tournament" (stage 1, stage 2, Final stage in the figure) and where it is also possible to add new players who will participate to a qualification round…

  17. Resposive embedding

Would be great if the embedd-function would be resposive as well.
Its nice that your site is responsive but when the embedd function is still non-responsive. Would be nice with a non-iframe option.

  20. Needs more seeding options

The one thing that prevents me from using Challonge only as my main bracket program is the lack of seeding options. There is no way to seed people by location which is what most people are concerned about in brackets since people from the same location should be equally separated in the bracket. There is no way to only seed a set number of players. Instead if you do that it will put everyone in order from 1 to whatever number of players are in the tournament. There is no way of combining seeding methods i.e. skill and location. These…
